General Description
The Employees Self Service (ESS) module is a component in a Human Resource Management (HRM) system or human resource management software (HRIS) that provides employees with access to manage their employment-related information and tasks. This module aims to empower employees to access, update and manage their data without involving the HR department.
The main functions of the ESS module are:
- Personal Data Management: Employees can manage their personal information, such as address, telephone number, bank data, educational history and work experience.
- Permits and Leave: Employees can request permits, leave, or work schedule changes, as well as view their leave balance.
- Working Time Management: Employees can fill in or manage working hours, submit schedule changes, or fill out attendance records.
- Training Requests: Employees can submit training or personal development requests.
The Employees Self Service module provides a dual benefit, where employees feel more independent and involved in the management of their personal information, while the HR department reduces the administrative burden because employees can perform these tasks themselves. This can also improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of HR data. The following is a guide to accessing the Employees Self Service module:
- Select Bento Menu in the top left corner
- Select the Employees Self Service Module
In the Employees Self Service module, employees who request leave, absence or attendance can only be approve by a superior who has the same or similar PA Admin area as the employee. Meanwhile, employees who propose changes to their profile data can only be approve by the HR admin.
